Each editing project is different, just as each client is different. As such, Elizabeth prices on a sliding scale that aims for a rate of between $45 and $120 per hour of work, depending on each client’s needs and circumstances.

Below are some examples of how Elizabeth has priced different types of projects in the past. This list is in no way all-inclusive, and numbers are subject to change.
$0.18-$0.22 per word...
- for admissions essay packages for individual students or families.
- Including varying levels of extensive developmental editing and multiple rounds of personalized feedback and conversation, line editing, copy editing, and finally proofreading.
$0.04-$0.10 per word...
- for an individual client’s novel (50,000-100,000 words), depending on the length and level of editing necessary.
- Elizabeth does not offer developmental editing for novels.
$90-$120 per hour...
- for an enterprise client (creative agency, corporation, VC, etc.) to account for broader project scope and additional client resources.
